The only way to accomplish this, is to restore a backup of factory default system data, aka a clean system file. There's no system setting (hardware or software) to wipe all Global blocks. To share a preset that contains Global blocks, you have to either send the system data file along with it, or unlink all Global blocks before exporting to disk. Press Enter in the Recall menu on the hardware.Execute STRIP ALL GLOBAL DATA in the Utilities menu.Use the Global block menu on the hardware. To unlink a block from Global blocks, use any of these methods: In other words: you can not edit several instances of the Global block and then save the preset to save them all you must save "per instance". If you've changed settings in one of the 8 instances of a Global block, always save the preset first before loading another instance of that block, otherwise you'll lose your edits. Reset the channel before tweaking to make sure that everything (including hidden settings) is set to default.Īfter adding or editing a Global block, the preset needs to be saved. When you've saved a block as a Global block, and you're going to dial in a channel of that block that hasn't been tweaked before, the channel's initial settings may be way off. Working with Global blocks Reset before editing Unlink All Blocks From Global – Unlinks all blocks from any Global blocks to which they may be linked. Unlink – Unlinks the current effect from any Global blocks. Any other presets linked to this Global block will load the Global block data upon recall. Upon saving the preset the Global block is saved. Link To and Load From – Links an effect to a Global block AND loads data from the Global block. Load From – Loads data from a selected Global block but does NOT link the block. Link To – Links the selected effect with a Global block. There are several operations associated with Global blocks: Global block operations are accessible from the Tools page in the Layout menu and in the Editors. Other blocks that do NOT support Global blocks: The other Input blocks and Output blocks do not support it. Also, only Input 1 supports Global blocks. There are 8 Global blocks per effect instance. "The FX8 was not designed for use with Global Block, and there are no plans to add them." About Global blocks "The AX8 was not designed for use with Global Block, and there are no plans to add them." Axe-Fx II: 10 global blocks per effect instance.Axe-Fx III: 8 global blocks per effect instance (not all effect blocks).4.3 Set Bypass state across all presets. The equalization included in these speaker building blocks is intended to match most environments in which you would use these speakers. Some specialty output building blocks provide equalization for Extron’s line of surface mount and ceiling mount speakers. When selecting a building block for the outputs, you are presented with a selection of standard output uses such as codec, telephone transmit, program speakers, voice lift speakers, etc. Extron DSP templates already have the Virtual Return building blocks inserted, but you can customize the template or start from scratch and set-up your sub-mixes using these building blocks. When selecting a building block for the virtual returns, you are presented with a selection of microphone, program and far side sub-mixes. On the DTP CrossPoint switch matrices, building blocks for the Audio & Video inputs are stereo versions of the line level input blocks defined above. Inserting any of these building blocks will optimize dynamics and input levels for those sources. The line level folder includes a variety of standard inputs, such as DVD Player, iPod, Telephone Rx, etc. If the exact model is not in the folder, you can choose something that is close as a starting point, then make gain adjustments. Expanding any of these folders allows you to choose a specific microphone that matches the microphone in your system and adds compensation for microphone placement. When entering a building block for a microphone, you are presented with a choice of folders, such as Table Mic, Lectern Mic, Ceiling Mic, Handheld Mic, and Wireless Mic. There are six types of building blocks available for Extron ProDSP units, including: Microphone Inputs They can be used with or without Extron DSP Templates to speed up and assist in the development of a system configuration. Each building block provides a variety of pre-configured DSP processor settings, optimized for the given device. Extron DSP Building Blocks What is a Building Block?īuilding Blocks are Extron DSP processing profiles that are included in DSP Configurator Software, for inputs, outputs, and virtual returns.
